social mapping

today we looked at social mapping it involved string, post its, pins, and sometimes a staple gun









answered questions and put them on a post it note and created a star diagram for each person


then we used red string to link the common connection's, based on the data my group like cats and facebookohdear
and were born in Auckland and don't drink coffee
we then used Pajek to create a graph showing common connections

EDIT: the task felt somewhat constricted by the choice of questions and almost created a guide to starting obscure small talk rather than a representation of ourselves through data. it was quite intriguing the amount of killer whale answers in group A which suggests a influence from within the group. Although I think the end results were just a byproduct of showing us about data representation.
